2026–2027 School Year | Keep the Momentum Going!
Dear Students and Families,
We had an amazing Spirit Week last week! It was great seeing our Wolverines participate, have fun, and show their school pride. As we begin Week 4, let’s keep that same energy going by staying connected, making positive choices, and taking responsibility for our academic success.
CLOTHING DRIVE – LAST WEEK TO DONATE!
Our Clothing Drive ends this Friday!
Have gently used clothing you no longer need? Bring your donations to school and drop your bags off in the front office.
ACADEMICS – KNOW WHERE YOU STAND
Four weeks into the school year is a great time for students to check their progress.
This week:
Check Aeries and know your grades.
Review Teams and/or OneNote for assignments and class information.
Write homework and important dates in your agenda daily.
Complete missing assignments as soon as possible.
Talk with your teacher if you don’t understand something.
Use Paper, our free 24/7 online tutoring resource, when you need extra support.
Don’t wait for a low grade to ask for help! Taking responsibility early makes it much easier to get back on track.
PBIS – THE WOODCREST WAY
Our Wolverine expectations apply every day and everywhere!
BE RESPECTFUL
Use kind words, listen to others, respect personal space, and take care of our campus.
BE RESPONSIBLE
Bring your ID and materials, arrive to class on time, complete your assignments, and take ownership of your choices.
BE SAFE
Walk on campus, keep hands and feet to yourself, make safe choices, and report concerns to an adult.
Continue earning PBIS Spirit Points through positive choices, participation, attendance, school spirit, and involvement.
Spirit Week may be over, but Wolverine Spirit happens every day!
MENTAL HEALTH & SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SUPPORT – CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF
By Week 4, schedules are getting busier and academic expectations are increasing. This is a good time for students and families to check in:
How am I doing?
Am I getting enough sleep?
Am I managing my time?
Am I feeling connected at school?
Do I have an adult I can talk to?
Am I asking for help when I need it?
Students, if you are feeling overwhelmed, worried, having friendship difficulties, struggling academically, or simply need someone to talk to, come see Miss Torres or Ms. Morales Garcia.
You don’t have to wait until there is a big problem to visit your counselor. We are here to support you!
COMMUNITY & SCHOOL CONNECTION – OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENS
Our communities of Ontario and Chino have resources and opportunities designed specifically for teens and families.
ONTARIO
The Ontario City Library offers dedicated teen spaces and programs that support students’ academic, recreational, and career goals. Ontario students ages 13–17 can also participate in teen volunteer opportunities where they can gain experience, develop leadership skills, and make new connections.
The De Anza Community & Teen Center provides additional opportunities for teens, including recreational, wellness, enrichment, leadership, and social activities.
CHINO
The Chino Experience Teen Center serves students in grades 7–12 and provides a supervised environment where teens can participate in activities, spend time with peers, and get involved in their community.
Chino’s Teen Opportunity Program (TOP) also provides students ages 13–18 in grades 7–12 with opportunities to volunteer in City programs and special events while developing leadership and interpersonal skills.
THIS WEEK’S COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
