Counselor’s Corner: Welcome Back, Wolverines!

2026–2027 School Year | Week Two Complete!

Dear Students and Families,

We are officially two weeks into the 2026–2027 school year! This week is all about building connections, staying organized, and getting involved. As routines begin to settle in, we want to encourage every Wolverine to find ways to connect with our school community while continuing to build strong academic and behavioral habits.

ACADEMICS – STAY ORGANIZED & STAY ON TRACK

The second week of school is a great time to make sure those first-week routines are becoming habits. Encourage your student to:

  • Check Aeries regularly and monitor grades and missing assignments.
  • Use an agenda, planner, or digital calendar to keep track of assignments and important dates.
  • Check Teams and/or OneNote for updates and class materials.
  • Complete and submit assignments on time.
  • Ask questions and communicate with teachers when they need clarification or support.
  • Take a few minutes each afternoon to organize materials and prepare for the next school day.

Small habits practiced consistently can make a big difference. Our goal is for students to become confident, independent, and responsible learners.

SCHOOL SPIRIT – OUR FIRST SPIRIT WEEK!

Our first School Spirit Week is here! Spirit Week is a fun opportunity for students to show their personality, school pride, and Wolverine spirit.

We encourage students to participate. Whether your student dresses up every day or participates in just one activity, every positive contribution helps build a stronger school community.

Parents, ask your student:

“Which Spirit Week day are you most excited about?”

You may be surprised by the answer!

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION – AFTER SCHOOL HANGOUT

Students will also have an opportunity to connect with peers and enjoy time together at our After School Hangout.

Activities like these are more than just fun—they give students opportunities to build friendships, practice communication skills, discover interests, and feel connected to their school.

If your student is looking for ways to get involved, encourage them to give an activity a try. Sometimes finding their place at school starts with simply showing up!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT – LET’S CONNECT!

We are excited to welcome families to Back to School Night!

This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to learn more about their student's classes, meet teachers, understand classroom expectations, and gain insight into how they can support learning at home.

We encourage families to attend and use the evening as a chance to strengthen the connection between home and school.

Remember, students are most successful when the adults supporting them work together. Your involvement matters!

THIS WEEK'S WOLVERINE CHALLENGE

Get connected!

Try something new this week. Participate in Spirit Week, attend the After School Hangout, introduce yourself to someone new, or simply find one positive way to contribute to our school community.

School is more than what happens in the classroom. Belonging, participation, and positive relationships are important parts of student success.

💜 Let’s keep building a great year, Wolverines!

Be Respectful • Be Responsible • Be Safe

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Dear Woodcrest Families,

To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:

South Side (Bon View Entrance)

  • Enter from Bon View (next to Liberty Elementary).

  • Pull forward toward Campus before stopping.

North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)

  • Enter the driveway past the main office and the gym.

  • Continue down the second driveway and follow the loop to exit.

Front of the School (Campus Street)

  • You may use the pull-in section along Campus Street for drop-off or pick-up.

  • This is not part of the driveway.

🚫 Not Allowed

  • No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.

  • No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.

  • No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.

    • This is private property, and the community has informed us that vehicles will be towed or ticketed.

Why This Matters
Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!

Daily Reminders

Student ID's

Students were provided with a badge holder and lanyard for their student ID. If a student loses their ID, a replacement ID may be purchased for $5.00.

Students are welcome to use their own lanyard and badge holder if they prefer. If the school-provided lanyard or badge holder is lost or damaged, families will need to provide a replacement.

Please help your student keep their ID secure and bring it to school each day.

If ID's are forgotten a loaner ID will be provided in the office, if it becomes a pattern parent will be contacted and progressive discipline will be followed.

Attendance Matters

Parents: Please take a few minutes each weekend to review

your student’s agenda and sign it.

Support our Clothing Drive! Students earn 5 PBIS pts per bag donated.

Parents we are in need of donations for ASB, PBIS, and Game room.

Donations can be dropped off in the office. Students will receive 5 to 10 pts for donations.
