Dear Woodcrest Families,
Thank you to all the staff and families who joined us for McTeacher Night last Thursday. We truly appreciate your support and partnership—events like these make a big difference for our students and school community.
This Thursday, we invite parents to join us in the MPR at 8:30 AM for Donuts and Coffee. During this meeting, we will share information on how we can support students in finishing the year strong and review our School Site LCAP information. Parents will also have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback on how our school and district can continue to grow. We hope to see you there!
Lastly, we are asking all parents to please complete the following survey: 👉 https://bit.ly/2026surveyparents
Our goal is to have 100% family participation. This K–12 School Quality Survey provides us with important information that helps guide decisions and improvements for our school. Your voice truly matters.
This week is Kindness Week! Help us celebrate and spread kindness to others see flyer below!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement. Together, we make Woodcrest stronger.
Go Wolverines!
Please ensure your student:
- Arrives to school and each class on time.
- Comes prepared and ready to learn each day.
- Brings their school ID, charged laptop and charger, and all necessary materials.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping every Woodcrest Wolverine succeed!
Important Reminders:
Student ID badges must be worn daily. If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day. On the 3rd instance they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily. ID Badges are used during lunch time to speed up the process for students getting their lunch in the lines. If students do not have their ID's on them they will be asked to go to the back of the line as to not hold up the lunch lines.
Hats and Hoods are not permitted to be worn on campus
No Gum on campus
Phones, ear buds, headphones, and all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks before entering campus
-
There is no student drop-off in front of the school
Students should bring their agendas, charged laptops, and chargers every day
Please review the student handbook located in the agenda before the first day of school
Every Friday is School Spirit Day! Wear purple, black, grey, or a Woodcrest shirt
Dismissal is at 3:15 PM
Thank you,
Mrs. Taylor

💬 Counselor’s Corner: January 26th–30th
Dear Families,
We are heading into the last week of January and continuing steady progress through Trimester 2. With Trimester 2 ending on Friday, February 13th, now is a great time for students to stay focused, reflect on their progress, and set goals for a strong finish.
📚 Academics: Encourage your student to regularly check grades, complete assignments on time, and use available supports such as Paper, our free online tutoring program, for extra help. Starting strong habits now will help students avoid last-minute stress as the trimester comes to a close.
🌟 PBIS: We continue to reinforce our school-wide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Students can earn PBIS points by making positive choices and showing school pride. Points may be redeemed in the Wellness Room/Zen Den before school.
💜 Social-Emotional Support: As we move closer to the end of the trimester, some students may begin to feel pressure. Encourage your child to balance schoolwork with rest, stay organized, and reach out for support if needed. Our counseling team is always here to support all Wolverines—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Thank you for partnering with us to support student success. Let’s finish January strong and keep building momentum toward the end of Trimester 2!
With care, Miss Torres & Ms. Morales Garcia School Counselors
Before School Intervention Program for students who need extra academic support.
Days: Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Time: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Location: Library Students who are struggling in their classes should see Miss Torres for a Before School Intervention Permission Slip. A parent signature is required in order to attend. This is a great opportunity for students to get help, improve grades, and strengthen their learning before the trimester ends.
With care,
Miss Torres & Ms. Morales Garcia

Dear Woodcrest Families,
To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:
South Side (Bon View Entrance)
North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)
Front of the School (Campus Street)
🚫 Not Allowed
No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.
No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.
-
No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.
Why This Matters Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!
