Important Update – End of Trimester 1 & Fresh Start for Trimester 2

Posted Date: 10/24/25 (5:18 PM)

Dear Woodcrest Families,

Tomorrow, Friday, October 24, marks the end of our first trimester. We are excited to begin Trimester Two on Monday and look forward to continued growth and success for all students.

As we begin this new trimester, please take a moment to remind your student of our school-wide expectations to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe at all times—both in words and actions.

Woodcrest has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and cyberbullying. This includes any behavior—verbal, physical, written, or online—that targets, harms, or intimidates others, either intentionally or through subsequent impact. Students are in control of their actions, but they need to understand that they cannot control how others receive those actions. Additionally, the use of the N-word or any derogatory or racial slur is strictly prohibited. Students who engage in such behavior will be held accountable in accordance with school and district policy.

We would also like to take a moment to recognize the importance of positive interactions between students and adults on our campus. At Woodcrest, we expect all students to show respect and cooperation with every adult they encounter—including classroom aides, substitute teachers, and guests—and to uphold classroom expectations at all times. These behaviors help create a caring, productive learning environment for everyone. Our Character & Schoolwide Expectations Assembly reinforced these values, and students can always refer to our PBIS Matrix as a reminder of what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe in all settings. (Also found in our weekly Wolverine Newsletters)

Please review the Student-Parent Handbook in your student’s agenda or on the Woodcrest website for more information about school expectations, policies, and resources to support a positive school environment.

Trimester Two provides a fresh start for every student—academically, behaviorally, and socially. Grades will reset on Monday, making this an excellent opportunity for students to set new goals and begin strong.

Please ensure your student:

  • Arrives to school and each class on time.
  • Comes prepared and ready to learn each day.
  • Brings their school ID, charged laptop and charger, and all necessary materials.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping every Woodcrest Wolverine succeed!

Warm regards,
Mrs. Taylor, Principal and Mr. Frescas, Assistant Principal
