Dear Woodcrest Families,
We’re heading into the week of October 13th–17th, and it’s hard to believe there are only two weeks left in Trimester One! The trimester officially ends on Friday, October 24th, so please encourage your students to finish strong and stay on top of their assignments.
We’re also excited to share some great news—Woodcrest completed our PBIS Internal Tier 1 TFI (Tiered Fidelity Inventory) on Friday, and we are proud to announce that we scored a perfect 100%! This reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff and students in creating a positive, supportive school culture. Way to go, Wolverines!
Join us in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink on Wednesdays, October 15th and 22nd. Let’s show our school spirit and support for a great cause!
This Wednesday is also our last volleyball game of the season—come out and cheer for our boys’ team at 4:00 PM and girls’ team at 5:15 PM. Go Wolverines!
On Thursday, October 16th, Woodcrest will participate in the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:16 AM as part of our safety preparedness efforts.
Please note that our Fall Family Movie Night, originally scheduled for October 17th, has been rescheduled to November 14th—be sure to save the date!
Finally, our second Saturday School of the year will take place this Saturday, October 18th. This is a great opportunity for students to catch up on work and clear an absence. Students can sign up using the QR code below.
We’re looking forward to another great week here at Woodcrest!
Important Reminders:
Student ID badges must be worn daily. If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day. On the 3rd instance they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily. ID Badges are used during lunch time to speed up the process for students getting their lunch in the lines. If students do not have their ID's on them they will be asked to go to the back of the line as to not hold up the lunch lines.Â

Dear Woodcrest Families,
To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:
South Side (Bon View Entrance)
North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)
Front of the School (Campus Street)
🚫 Not Allowed
No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.
No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.
-
No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.
Why This Matters Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!

💬 Counselor’s Corner: Week of October 13th–17th
Dear Families,
We are in the final stretch of Trimester 1, which ends Friday, October 24th! This is the time for students to focus, stay organized, and finish strong.
📘 Before School Intervention Begins! Starting Wednesday, October 15th, we will begin our Before School Intervention Program for students who need extra academic support.
Days: Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Time: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Location: Library Students who are struggling in their classes should see Miss Torres for a Before School Intervention Permission Slip. A parent signature is required in order to attend. This is a great opportunity for students to get help, improve grades, and strengthen their learning before the trimester ends.
🎯 Academic & Behavior Expectations: As we approach the end of Trimester 1, remind your student that they must have:
Students who meet these expectations will be eligible to participate in school events and our first rally in November! Encourage your child to stay on track and ask for help early. Students can also access online tutoring support on Paper through Classlink. See below for more information.
🌟 PBIS: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe These expectations continue to guide our school community. Being respectful means treating others kindly, being responsible means staying on top of schoolwork and commitments, and being safe means making positive choices—on campus, online, and in the community.
💙 Social-Emotional Support: This time of year can be stressful for many students as deadlines and expectations increase. Encourage your child to take breaks, get enough rest, and reach out if they feel overwhelmed. Our counseling team is always here to listen and help students find strategies to manage stress and stay motivated.
If your student needs support, please visit the Counseling Office or complete the Request for Support Form using the QR code below.
Let’s finish Trimester 1 strong and make these last two weeks count! 💪
With care,
Miss Torres & Ms. Morales Garcia
