Principal's Message

Dear Woodcrest Families,

It’s hard to believe we are already starting the 6th week of school! The first six weeks of Trimester One end this Friday, September 12th, so please be sure to monitor your student’s grades through Aeries and encourage them to stay on top of their assignments.

This Friday, September 12, our Wolverine Band will be performing at the Chino High School football game. We invite you to come out and cheer on both our Wolverines and the Cowboys—it’s sure to be a great night of music, football, and school spirit! Purchase tickets here: https://gofan.co/app/school/CA7904

A big thank-you to the parents who attended our Parent Zoom Session this past Tuesday on supporting students with social media and electronics. If you were unable to join, the presentation is available at the link below.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. Let’s keep building on the great momentum we’ve started this school year!

Go Wolverines! Wishing you a fantastic week!

Important Reminders:

  • Student ID badges must be worn daily. If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day, and they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily.

  • Hats are not permitted on campus

  • Phones, ear buds, headphones, and all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks before entering campus

  • There is no student drop-off in front of the school

    • Students may enter from the north side by the park or the south side near the Library (see map below)

  • Students should bring their agendas, charged laptops, and chargers every day

Drop Off and Pick Up Options

Dear Woodcrest Families,

To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:

South Side (Bon View Entrance)

  • Enter from Bon View (next to Liberty Elementary).

  • Pull forward toward Campus before stopping.

North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)

  • Enter the driveway past the main office and the gym.

  • Continue down the second driveway and follow the loop to exit.

Front of the School (Campus Street)

  • You may use the pull-in section along Campus Street for drop-off or pick-up.

  • This is not part of the driveway.

🚫 Not Allowed

  • No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.

  • No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.

  • No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.

    • This is private property, and the community has informed us that vehicles will be towed or ticketed.

Why This Matters
Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!

Phones need to be turned off and in backpacks prior to entering the gates, along with earbuds, headphones, any electronics.

Counselor Corner

💬 Counselor’s Corner: September 8th–12th

Dear Families,

We are reaching an important checkpoint—the 6th week of Trimester 1 ends Friday, September 12th. This is a great time for students to reflect on their progress and set goals for the weeks ahead.

📚 Academics: Encourage your child to review grades in each class, complete any missing assignments, and connect with teachers if extra support is needed. Small adjustments now can make a big difference before the trimester ends.

🌟 PBIS: Our PBIS focus remains on being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. As we approach the middle of the trimester, remind your child that consistent positive behavior builds strong relationships with teachers and peers.

💙 Social-Emotional: With deadlines and assessments approaching, some students may feel extra stress. Encourage healthy routines like getting enough sleep, eating balanced meals, and taking short breaks when studying. Remind them it’s okay to ask for help—from family, teachers, or counselors.

We are proud of the effort our students are showing and look forward to celebrating their growth as we continue through the trimester. Let’s finish these first six weeks strong!
