Principal's Message

Dear Woodcrest Families,

We had a great assembly today, please ask your students to share how they can be Digital First Responders!

Please remind your student to wear their school ID's daily. Per our handbook, if ID's are not worn students will receive a lunch detention. Students need to be responsible and wear it daily to school. Help to remind them to check before they leave the house.

Save the date for Tuesday September 2nd from 6pm to 7pm for a Parent Zoom Presentation. The students will have an assembly this Friday about how social media and how to be safe in a digital world. Then on Monday, the 2nd, the presentation will be for the parents. Click here for the zoom link: https://chino-k12-ca-us.zoom.us/j/83954599726

Don’t forget, our Woodcrest website has all upcoming events listed on the calendar section near the bottom of the page. If you need to contact a teacher, you can easily find their email under About Us → Staff Directory.

Wishing you a fantastic week, Wolverines!

Important Reminders:

  • Student ID badges must be worn daily. If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day, and they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily.

  • Hats are not permitted on campus

  • Phones, ear buds, headphones, and all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks before entering campus

  • There is no student drop-off in front of the school

    • Students may enter from the north side by the park or the south side near the Library (see map below)

  • Students should bring their agendas, charged laptops, and chargers every day

  • Please review the student handbook located in the agenda before the first day of school

  • Every Friday is School Spirit Day! Wear purple, black, grey, or a Woodcrest shirt

  • Dismissal is at 3:15 PM

Thank you,

Mrs. Taylor

Drop Off and Pick Up Options

Dear Woodcrest Families,

To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:

South Side (Bon View Entrance)

  • Enter from Bon View (next to Liberty Elementary).

  • Pull forward toward Campus before stopping.

North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)

  • Enter the driveway past the main office and the gym.

  • Continue down the second driveway and follow the loop to exit.

Front of the School (Campus Street)

  • You may use the pull-in section along Campus Street for drop-off or pick-up.

  • This is not part of the driveway.

🚫 Not Allowed

  • No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.

  • No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.

  • No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.

    • This is private property, and the community has informed us that vehicles will be towed or ticketed.

Why This Matters
Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!

Phones need to be turned off and in backpacks prior to entering the gates, along with earbuds, headphones, any electronics.

Counselor Corner

💬 Counselor’s Corner: Starting Strong This School Year

Dear Families,

We are officially moving into September, and students are beginning to find their rhythm at school. This week, our focus is on building positive habits that will carry through the year.

📚 Academics: Now is the perfect time to review grades, missing assignments, and organization systems. Encourage your child to use a planner or digital calendar to stay on track.

🌟 PBIS: We continue to emphasize our school-wide expectations—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. Families can reinforce these values by talking with students about what they look like in the classroom, hallways, and at home.

💙 Social-Emotional: September can bring excitement but also stress as routines become busier. Remind your child of healthy coping strategies—deep breathing, journaling, exercise, or talking with a trusted adult. Small check-ins with your child each evening can make a big difference.

We’re excited to see the great progress students are making. Thank you for supporting their academic, behavioral, and emotional growth as we start this new month together!
