Dear Woodcrest Families,
Please remind your student to wear their school IDs daily. We are starting week 4, and students should now know the expectation is to wear IDs daily. Per our handbook, if IDs are not worn, students will receive a lunch detention. We have given 3 weeks of reminders and have provided loaners if students have misplaced their lanyards. Students need to be responsible and wear it daily to school. Help to remind them to check before they leave the house.
Save the date for Tuesday, September 2nd from 6pm to 7pm for a Parent Zoom Presentation. The students will have an assembly this Friday about how social media and how to be safe in a digital world. Then on Monday, the 2nd, the presentation will be for the parents. Click here for the zoom link: https://chino-k12-ca-us.zoom.us/j/83954599726
Don’t forget, our Woodcrest website has all upcoming events listed on the calendar section near the bottom of the page. If you need to contact a teacher, you can easily find their email under About Us → Staff Directory.
Important Reminder: This is the last week to purchase the device protection plan: CVUSD’s Device Protection Plan is now available for purchase through August 31 for $40. This insurance will cover any accidental damage to a student’s laptop, charger, or stylus for the school year. Without the plan, all replacements or repairs to a student's device will result in a $50 charge for each incident. For more information, visit our school website or see Ms. Wiarco, our school librarian. The plan can be purchased online through MySchoolBucks or in person at our site for $40 cash.
Wishing you a fantastic week and a 3-day weekend, Wolverines!
No school on Monday, September 1, 2025!
Important Reminders:
Student ID badges must be worn daily. If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day, and they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily.
Hats are not permitted on campus
Phones, ear buds, headphones, and all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks before entering campus
-
There is no student drop-off in front of the school

Dear Woodcrest Families,
To help keep our students safe, please follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:
South Side (Bon View Entrance)
North Side (Driveway Past the Gym)
Front of the School (Campus Street)
🚫 Not Allowed
No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.
No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.
-
No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.
Why This Matters Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all Wolverines Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!

💬 Counselor’s Corner: Starting Strong This School Year
Dear Families,
We are now in our fourth week of school, this is a great time to check in with your child about how things are going both academically and socially.
📚 Academics: Encourage your child to stay organized by keeping track of homework and upcoming tests. Establishing strong study habits early will make the rest of the year smoother.
🌟 PBIS: At Woodcrest, we continue to focus on being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. Ask your child how they’ve been showing these expectations at school, and celebrate their efforts at home!
💙 Social-Emotional: Transitions can bring excitement and stress. Remind your child it’s okay to ask for help—whether from teachers, friends, or counselors. Building positive relationships now lays the foundation for a successful year.
We are so proud of the way our students are adjusting and growing. Please know that the Counseling Team is here to support both students and families as we move forward together.
