💬 Counselor’s Corner: Wrapping Up September & Starting October
Dear Families,
We’re closing out September and kicking off October with excitement and opportunities for growth!
🎉 Spirit Week: This week is our first Spirit Week—a chance for students to show their school pride and build community. Encourage your child to participate and have fun while representing Woodcrest!
📅 Open Forum Conferences:
Conferences will be held Thursday and Friday and are a great opportunity to review academic progress, set goals, and connect with teachers.
📚 Academics: As we begin the second part of Trimester 1, it’s a good time for students to review their grades, turn in missing work, and establish consistent study habits. Staying on top of assignments now prevents stress later!
🌟 PBIS: We continue to emphasize being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. Spirit Week is a perfect time to show school pride while still modeling positive behavior in the classroom and around campus.
💙 Social-Emotional: Balancing academics, activities, and friendships can feel overwhelming. Encourage your child to practice stress-management strategies—like taking breaks, staying active, or talking with someone they trust. Remember, our counseling team is here to help.
We are here to support all students, parents, and teachers. Please stop by and check in with us anytime—or complete the Request for Support Form using the QR code below.
Let’s finish September strong and step into October with spirit and success!
With care,
Miss Torres & Ms. Morales Garcia
